Manchester United Women have confirmed the appointment of Eva Olid as their new head coach, with the 40-year-old signing a deal that runs until June 2028 and includes the option of an additional year.

Manchester United Football Club has officially named Eva Olid as the new head coach of its women’s team.
Her arrival signals the beginning of a promising new era as the club continues its commitment to achieving long-term, sustainable progress and success through a clearly defined vision.
United have already built a solid foundation by nurturing both local academy prospects and experienced international players while developing a unique football identity. Significant investment has also been made in academy facilities and infrastructure as part of the club’s ambition to establish the best youth development system in England.
Widely respected for her modern coaching methods and forward-thinking philosophy, Olid joins from Heart of Midlothian Women after guiding the club through its most successful spell. She helped elevate Hearts Women from Scotland’s second tier and, in May, steered them to their maiden Scottish Women’s Premier League title.
Her remarkable accomplishments earned her both the Scottish Women’s Premier League Coach of the Season award and the PFA Scotland Women’s Premier League Manager of the Year honour.
