Former Nigerian footballer Desire Oparanozie commented on Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana‘s last-minute penalty save in Manchester United’s UEFA Champions League group stage match against Copenhagen.

The ex-Ajax goalkeeper has faced criticism since his summer move to Manchester United. However, his performance at Old Trafford against the Danish team was instrumental in securing a well-deserved victory for the Red Devils.

In the match, Erik ten Hag’s team secured all three points, thanks to a 72nd-minute header by Harry Maguire.

Oparanozie, a known Manchester United supporter, expressed her thoughts on Onana’s performance in the match on her X (formerly Twitter) account.

The CEO of Inter Milan drops hints about the possibility of re-signing Andre Onana following his disappointing start at Manchester United.

“Onana all your sins are forgiven, go and sin no more,” she said.
Despite their victory over the Danish team, Manchester United hasn’t moved into second place as they remain one point behind Galatasaray, as reported by UEFA.com.
The Red Devils will have to secure a win in their upcoming match when they face the Danish giants in November for the second-leg fixture.

Previously, in a report by Sports Brief, it was mentioned that Onana expressed his enthusiasm following his last-minute heroics, which contributed to the Red Devils securing their inaugural victory in this season’s UEFA Champions League.

“I was just doing my job,” he told TNT Football. “It was important for us to win against a very tough team. I am happy for the victory, we played a very good game. I am very happy and we have to continue like that,” he added.
