The current African Footballer of the Year, Victor Osimhen, was seen participating in a crossover service at a church in Lagos on New Year’s Eve.
The striker, who has been granted leave by his Italian club, Napoli, for the 2023 African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, made a surprise appearance at a church service to the joy and cheers of the congregation.
A viral video captures Osimhen walking to the pulpit amidst enthusiastic applause and cheers from the worshippers. The former Lille striker then embraced the clergyman who handed him the microphone, leaving Osimhen visibly moved.
Similarly, Afrobeats sensation Rema was also seen attending a church crossover service in Lagos on New Year’s Eve, accompanied by American singer Justine Skye.
Both artists participated in the church event on the night of Sunday, December 31, 2023, ushering in the New Year with prayers and reflections.
This aligns with the presence of afrobeats icon Davido, who, accompanied by a few friends, was observed at Harvesters Church in Lagos for the crossover service.
