Real Madrid have denied reports that veteran midfielder Luka Modric could leave the club in January, despite speculation about his future with the La Liga giants.

The 38-year-old midfielder has experienced a significant reduction in playing time this season due to the arrival of Jude Bellingham. This has led to Saudi Pro League clubs expressing interest in signing him.

According to reports, Real Madrid CEO Jose Angel Sanchez promptly dismissed the ongoing rumors regarding Modric by confirming that they are not engaged in any talks with Saudi clubs for his transfer.

“There are no official negotiations on the part of Saudi League officials to include Luca during next January, and we have no idea about his departure from the team at the present time.”

Modric has expressed his discontent over his limited appearances in the current season under Carlo Ancelotti. Reports are indicating that the Croatian midfielder may pursue a transfer after the season.

Meanwhile, fans of Real Madrid are eager to witness Modric’s return to peak form and potentially secure a more significant role in Carlo Ancelotti’s future game plans, as noted by Clutch Points.

The 38-year-old midfielder has only started three out of eight appearances for Los Blancos this season and has come off the bench five times, accumulating a total of 307 minutes of playing time.

Modric’s historical contributions to Real Madrid’s successes have endeared him to the fans, who now have high hopes that he will play a pivotal role in their upcoming Champions League match against SC Braga on Tuesday.
