Cristiano Ronaldo reached another major milestone after scoring his 100th goal in the Saudi Pro League as Al Nassr defeated Al-Shabab 4-2 on Thursday to strengthen their title hopes.

João Félix also starred in the encounter with a hat-trick as Al Nassr moved five points clear of rivals Al-Hilal at the top of the table.

The 41-year-old Portuguese striker scored his landmark goal with 15 minutes left, converting a cross from Sadio Mané at the near post to make it 3-1.

The strike marked the 971st goal of Ronaldo’s professional career, his 26th league goal this season, and his 127th goal in all competitions for Al Nassr.

“Ronaldo is always dangerous going forward, and we saw that again today,” Al Nassr manager Jorge Jesus said.

Al Nassr delivered an attacking masterclass against Al-Shabab as they edged closer to clinching the Saudi Pro League title.

Attention now shifts to their crucial showdown against Al-Hilal, a match that could officially confirm Al Nassr as champions and hand Ronaldo another trophy in his illustrious career.

With 82 points and only two matches left, Al Nassr could mathematically seal the title in the May 12 derby against Al-Hilal, who trail by five points with a game in hand.

Ronaldo and Al Nassr are also chasing more silverware, with the club set to face Gamba Osaka in the Asian Champions League Two final on May 16.
