The Super Eagles camp in Antalya has grown to 21 players as preparations intensify for the upcoming international friendlies in Turkey.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that six more players arrived on Wednesday morning, increasing the squad size after earlier arrivals on Tuesday.

Among those who reported early are Fisayo Bashiru, Alex Iwobi, Emmanuel Oluwasegun, Yira Sor, Paul Onuachu and Philip Otele.

They are joined by Semi Ajayi, Moses Simon, Francis Uzoho, Bruno Onyemaechi and Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Also present in camp are Frank Onyeka, Adebayo Adeleye, Ademola Lookman, Akor Adams and Chidera Ejuke.

Raphael Onyedika, Igoh Ogbu, Maduka Okoye, Samuel Chukwueze and Zaidu Sanusi make up the rest of the 21 players currently in camp.

The team is staying at the Bellis Deluxe Hotel in Antalya, with their first training session scheduled for 4 p.m. local time (2 p.m. Nigerian time) on Wednesday.

Camp activities officially began at noon on Tuesday with the arrival of the coaching staff and team officials.

Super Eagles Media Officer, Promise Efoghe, expressed satisfaction with the turnout and the positive mood in camp.

“We are impressed with the players’ response and early arrivals. It reflects commitment and readiness for the task ahead.

“We expect a full camp soon, giving the coaches ample time to implement strategies,” Efoghe said.

He added that the technical crew is focused on making the most of the limited preparation time to build team chemistry ahead of the matches.

“Our priority is to blend the squad quickly and effectively. Every session now is crucial for our preparations,” Efoghe said.

Head coach Eric Chelle had earlier invited Captain Wilfred Ndidi, Iwobi, Lookman and 20 others for the friendly matches.

The fixtures were relocated from Amman to Antalya due to security concerns in the Middle East.

Nigeria will take on Iran on Friday before facing Jordan on March 31, both matches to be played in Antalya.
