Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Tyla Laura Seethal, better known by her stage name Tyla, is about to release her first album of the same name.
The record, which will be released on Friday, March 22, 2024, will have cameos from well-known international musicians.
The 14-track album, which features guest performances by Grammy-winning Nigerian R&B phenomenon Tems, American hip-hop artist Gunna, and rapidly rising Jamaican wonder Skillbeng, was revealed by Tyla on her Instagram page.
The album will also feature Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum rapper Travis Scott, who was featured on the remix of her hit song “Water,” which peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100.
Following her enormous mainstream success in 2023 with her viral hit single “Water,” Tyla is releasing her debut album this year. At the 66th Grammy Awards, she won a Grammy for Best African Song Performance thanks to the single.
The 2023 hit, Water was top of the charts across 16 countries including the United Kingdom and the United States.
To win the Grammy, Tyla’s Water beats Amapiano by Asake and Olamide, City Boy by Burna Boy and Unavailable.
Her single, “Water” is not just a global hit but also a song that can hold its own anywhere, anytime.
In addition to taking over the streets everywhere, the video has received over three million views in the three days after its October 7, 2023, YouTube debut. The video was uploaded less than a year ago, and it has already received over 130 million views.
Additionally, it debuted in the top ten in sixteen nations, including the UK, after igniting a social media frenzy and a viral dance challenge on TikTok.
The song is everywhere, the singer, songwriter, and dancer is in high demand, and she is the stunning bride that every artist aspires to be like.
After inking a deal with Epic record label, she joined Chris Brown as the opening act for his Under the Influence Tour. She performed the song live on The Bianca Show in Sweden and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in the United States.
