Nollywood actor Kanayo O Kanayo shocked and enraged social media with an outburst on social media in which he publicly criticised Angel Unigwe and her mother.
The seasoned performer started off by charging Mrs. Unigwe of holding other film producers at hostage and said that he had learned of her multiple transgressions from other directors she had purportedly ghosted as well.
Kanayo claimed that Mrs. Unigwe breaches her agreements and extorts money from these filmmakers. He disclosed that he is the most recent casualty of her devious methods.
Kanayo detailed his complaint, describing a recent event that happened on his set. The film legend claimed that after setting up Angel Unigwe to work all day, Mrs. Unigwe stormed onto the set at 9 PM and forcibly removed her daughter, even though the prearranged time had not passed.
This sudden action, in Kanayo‘s opinion, was a flagrant violation of the terms of the contract and an insult to the expected professionalism in Nollywood.
The performer didn’t end there. He sent a strong message to his associates, making it clear that he would not tolerate any film producer hiring Angel Unigwe without her fulfilling her end of the bargain on the project.
He made a personal threat to stop them from finishing their projects until the right steps were taken.
Kanayo passionately stated that his drastic actions were aimed at addressing the widespread unprofessionalism that has crept into the modern Nollywood scene.
