Why it’s advantageous to be single in entertainment industry – Korra Obidi

Popular singer and dancer Korra Obidi discusses the many benefits of being single in the entertainment industry.

The mother of two, who is unmarried, discussed how being married can limit one’s possibilities in the profession in an interview with “Heroes Diary.”

She emphasised how, while people are initially happy and supportive when someone gets married and starts a family, their significance gradually fades over time, which results in fewer invites to gatherings and a drop in employment opportunities.

According to Korra Obidi, when someone gets divorced or finds themselves alone once more, there is an immediate outpouring of compassion and a desire to see them return to the industry.

Korra Obidi shared her opinion that being unmarried is actually the best condition for success in the entertainment world, based on her personal experience.

She pointed out that while single people are frequently more in demand for various undertakings, married people can occasionally face dismissal from society.

According to Korra Obidi, her profession has changed significantly as a result of her decision to remain unmarried. She highlighted how this has resulted in a constant flow of possibilities and bookings.

In her words:

“One thing about we humans is that when somebody’s married. I don’t know you people don’t like the person anymore. You kind of like go ‘ahh happy married life’, and then ‘she can’t be on my show,’ ‘she can’t be in my movie’. But now I’m single… I’m getting booked back to back, so it’s good for me. I think being single is good in the industry.”
