Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has ordered the immediate dissolution of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB).

The directive was announced in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Abubakar Usman, in Minna.

According to Usman, the move is part of the government’s continued efforts to reform and strengthen the education sector to ensure greater efficiency, accountability, and better service delivery.

The statement directed all members of the dissolved Board, including the Secretary, to hand over all official documents, assets and responsibilities of the Board to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

“Governor Bago expresses appreciation to the outgoing Board members and the Secretary for their service and contributions to the growth and development of basic education in the State and wished them success in their future endeavors,” the statement said.
