Fulham and Villarreal have expressed their condolences to Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze following the passing of his mother.
While Chukwueze has not publicly confirmed the sad development, his brother, David Chukwueze, announced the loss through a series of emotional posts shared on Instagram.
According to the posts, the family is still grappling with the reality of the loss.
In one of his messages, David wrote: “Can’t even post your picture to say RIP mum.”
In another post, he added: “My forever love just left me without saying goodbye.”
He further shared: “You didn’t even carry your grandchild.”
Reacting to the news, Fulham posted on X: “We are all with you, Chukwu. Sending you and your family our deepest condolences.”
Villarreal also wrote: “Our thoughts are with you and your loved ones, Samu 💛.”
The sad news comes just two days after Super Eagles captain Wilfred Ndidi lost his father, Sunday Ndidi, in a road accident in Delta State.
