The National Youth Service Corps has formally completed the service year for the 2025 Batch A, Stream 1 corps members posted to Anambra State, issuing Certificates of National Service to qualified participants across the state.
The NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Pauline Ojisua, supervised the certificate distribution at the Awka South Local Government Area Secretariat on Tuesday, where many corps members gathered to collect their documents.
She explained that the exercise marked the successful end of their compulsory one-year national service.
She said, “A total of 1,149 corps members were discharged in the batch, comprising 457 males and 692 females. The ceremony signified the end of their contributions to national development through community service, education, healthcare, and other critical sectors during their deployment year.
“We commend the corps members for their dedication, discipline, and resilience throughout their service year. We urged them to carry forward the values of patriotism, unity, and selfless service instilled by the scheme as they transition into the next phase of their lives.”
According to her, receiving the Certificate of National Service is an important achievement, as it confirms completion of the NYSC programme and enables corps members to fully engage in the workforce and other civic responsibilities.
The distribution exercise took place smoothly across different local government areas in Anambra State, in line with NYSC guidelines, bringing another service year to a successful close.
