UEFA has appointed Daniel Siebert to officiate the Champions League final between Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal in Budapest on May 30.

The appointment marks Siebert’s first time officiating a UEFA club competition final, capping more than a decade as an international referee since 2015.

The 42-year-old has overseen nine Champions League matches this season, including Arsenal’s quarter-final against Sporting CP and semi-final against Atlético Madrid, as well as PSG’s quarter-final clash with Liverpool.

His résumé also features officiating roles at Euro 2020 and Euro 2024, highlighting his experience at the highest level.

The German referee will not be alone at the Puskás Aréna, as fellow Germans Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn will serve as assistant referees.

In addition, VAR duties will be handled by Bastian Dankert, ensuring a highly trusted officiating team for what promises to be an intense showdown in Hungary.
