Fulham have confirmed the permanent signing of 18-year-old forward Jonah Kusi-Asare from Bayern Munich after both parties agreed to a five-year contract with the option of an additional year.
According to Sky Germany, the deal is worth €6 million.
Announcing the move on June 27, Fulham said the highly rated youngster joins the club on a long-term basis following a previous loan spell.
Speaking after completing the transfer, Kusi-Asare said: “I am incredibly happy to officially become a member of Fulham. Everything has been going so well since my first week here, and I already feel like I am part of the Fulham family. The dressing room atmosphere is great, and my teammates and staff are all very friendly, so I am very happy to be here.”
Fulham Football Director Tony Khan also welcomed the striker, saying: “I am genuinely thrilled to welcome Kusi-Asare to Fulham on a long-term contract. We believe he is a talented young player with great potential and a bright future. We are delighted that he has now joined us permanently after his previous loan spell with the team. Come on Fulham!”
Kusi-Asare made 10 appearances for Fulham’s first team last season, demonstrating his potential despite his young age.
The Sweden youth international was particularly impressive for the club’s U21 side, scoring four goals in five appearances—an average of one goal every 92 minutes.
