Nigerian interior designer and entrepreneur Ehi Ogbebor has rejected claims that she has a history of dating married men, stating that transport union leader Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, is the only married man she knowingly dated.

Ogbebor made the disclosure during an appearance on the Chude Podcast, where she also discussed her two failed marriages, alleged experiences of domestic abuse and the public scrutiny surrounding her relationships.

The chief executive officer of Sayaveth Interiors and Hotel challenged any woman who believes she took her husband, urging them to come forward. She maintained that the perception that she routinely dates or “snatches” married men is untrue.

“MC Oluomo is one of my best friends. Ayinde, as I call him, that I know now. That’s the only man I would sit down and say, yes, I did date him as a married man, but he’s Muslim. Even bus conductors have four wives as Muslims,” she said.

Ogbebor said her two failed marriages, despite her beauty and financial success, had made her question the assumptions people make about her personal life.

“I’ve had two failed marriages, with beauty, with money; I still had two failed marriages. People have a complex when it’s Ehi. Contrary to what people think, I do not snatch people’s husbands.

“As I said, I’m waiting for the wives to come and tell me how I snatched their husbands.”

Ogbebor’s relationship with MC Oluomo

Ogbebor’s personal life has attracted significant public attention over the years, particularly following the breakdown of her marriages and her subsequent relationship with Akinsanya.

Her relationship with MC Oluomo became a subject of widespread social media discussion because of his marital status.

During the latest interview, Ogbebor acknowledged that she knew Akinsanya was married when they were together. However, she described him as one of her closest friends and maintained that he was the only married man she could publicly acknowledge having dated.

Ogbebor has also been married twice, including to businessman and oil magnate Kenneth Bramor. Their elaborate wedding in 2017 attracted considerable attention before the marriage eventually ended.

She said the breakdown of her marriages, despite her achievements and appearance, had influenced her perspective on relationships and the public’s perception of her private life.

‘I married at 18’

Ogbebor also spoke about her first marriage, which she said began when she was just 18 years old.

She described the union as a relationship she entered without adequately knowing her partner and alleged that she experienced severe physical abuse during the marriage.

“I married at the age of 18. I married someone I didn’t know. I actually think the marriage was nonsense. I was a victim of terrible domestic physical abuse,” she said.

Recalling one alleged incident, Ogbebor said her then-husband beat her until she lost consciousness.

“There was a day he beat me so bad. I passed out. I woke up to him pouring olive oil into my mouth,” she said.

She also recalled another incident during pregnancy, alleging that her husband pushed her and caused her to fall on her stomach.

“He pushed me, and I fell on my tummy,” she said.

Ogbebor further alleged that she experienced financial restrictions during the marriage, claiming that her husband would provide detailed amounts for household purchases.

“He would give me a list and write it like N2,000 for tomatoes, N1,000 for Maggi,” she recalled.

She also said she eventually left the marriage because of what she described as “juju” or voodoo, although she did not provide further details about the allegation.

‘I am not moved’

Ogbebor said her experiences have changed the way she responds to criticism and public commentary about her relationships and lifestyle.

She explained that she is now more focused on making money, pursuing happiness and living according to her own choices than responding to what people say about her.

“Whatever they are doing now, I am not moved. Every other thing is background sound. I make enough money. Anything that will make me happy, I go for it,” she said.

Her latest comments add to years of public discussion surrounding her marriages and relationships. However, Ogbebor maintains that the widely held perception of her as someone who routinely pursues married men does not accurately represent her dating history.
