Even while Ubi Franklin admits that the emergence of the internet has brought about substantial changes, she is still optimistic about the music industry’s future.
He cites the success of popular musicians like Davido, Wizkid, and Burnaboy who have used the internet and social media as essential platforms for the emergence of fresh talent.
He wrote:
“We are at a crossroads in the music business: with the rise of the internet, the world we live in has changed, and the past is not coming back. But I see the glass as half-full: the internet and social networking are new avenues for the next Davido, Iyanya, Burnaboy, Wizkid, Asake, rema, Ayra Star Tems Etc to be born on.”
