Celebrity barman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has explained why he shifted his political support from Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate Peter Obi to President Bola Tinubu.
Cubana Chief Priest was among the well-known public figures who openly supported Obi during the 2023 general elections.
However, ahead of the next election cycle, he has now declared backing for Tinubu.
He currently serves as a coordinator for the City Boys Movement, a grassroots mobilisation group initiated by Seyi Tinubu in preparation for the 2027 election.
In a conversation with streamer Peller, he said his decision to leave Obi’s camp was influenced by his desire to avoid another political defeat.
“I left Obi because I don’t want to lose again because they say first fool no be fool na the second fool be proper fool. Tinubu will still win”, he said.
He also expressed confidence that President Tinubu would secure re-election in 2027.
