Nigerian actress Beverly Osu has spoken about her time as a housemate on Big Brother Africa Season 8 in 2013.

Beverly Osu talked about her career path and the effects of her time on the show on her life in an interview with HIPTV.

In response to a question on her unannounced eviction, Beverly stated that she now sees her defeat in the competition as a lucky break.

She joked that her mother had been worried about the possible bad effects of winning the financial prize on her life, but she was also relieved.

Beverly Osu expressed gratitude for how her life and work have changed since then, even if she acknowledged that she might not have had the wisdom to handle the prize money well at the time.

She made it clear that she had gained more from the award and was now using her experiences to improve her life.

The host asked: You were never up for evictions in the reality TV show; did you think that your eviction was evil?”

She said: “I’m happy I didn’t win now because there was nothing I was going to do then that was going to make me win. If the fans were praying for me to win, the woman who birthed me was praying to God that ‘If this child is going to win this money and go astray, because she has gone astray before,. If she is going to win this money and go astray, God please don’t give it to her.’”

“God’s timing is the best and we are happy that now we have made more than that money. If I had the money then, I probably would not have known what to do with it then. I didn’t have the experience to make it impactful in my life so yeah, so far I’m winning in life now”.
