North-West APC youths lament hardship, hunger over high cost of living

The youth wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North-West has voiced apprehensions regarding the escalating cost of living, widespread hunger, and insecurity across the nation, with a specific emphasis on the region. They urge President Bola Tinubu and the party to devise strategies to alleviate the hardships faced by the populace.

Addressing a Wednesday gathering in Kaduna to assess the party’s affairs and the nation’s current state, Abdulhamid Mohammed, the chairman of the North-West APC Youths, urged the presidency to take prompt action before the prevailing hardships worsen.

He highlighted the soaring cost of food items in the market, which has become unaffordable for many.

While the APC youth group criticized the opposition for continually blaming the current administration for the country’s economic challenges, they argued that these difficulties existed prior to the APC-led government.

Nevertheless, the group called upon the opposition to rally behind President Tinubu’s administration in tackling the economic crisis, enhancing security, and addressing other socio-economic issues confronting the nation. Additionally, they urged the President and the ruling APC to involve the youths more actively in the country’s governance.
