Popular TikToker Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has urged the Nigeria Police Force and the Federal Road Safety Corps to arrest fellow content creator Adesokan Adedeji Emmanuel following a recent car crash that occurred during a livestream, citing what he described as unequal treatment compared to his own case last year.

Shank Comics was seen in a livestream driving a Mercedes at high speed along a Lagos highway in early 2026 before losing control and crashing. No major injuries were recorded. The incident marked his second widely reported crash in about six months, after a similar accident in November 2025 that damaged another vehicle.

As of Saturday, there had been no arrest, vehicle seizure, or official response from authorities in Lagos regarding the incident.

Peller made his demand during a livestream that gained widespread attention on Saturday, where he spoke while seated in the front of a moving vehicle.

“Guys, you know, see the thing that Shank did. Shank drove a car and crashed the car. Nigeria Police Force, you guys need to jail him. Yes! We no go gree o, we no go gree! If they no do, we no go gree.

“Me, I no go gree. Me, they did something to me after I crashed my car. They should do something to him also so he can face the consequences. He needs to go to jail. I was criticised for crashing my car but people are applauding Shank. It’s not fair.”

In December 2025, Peller was arrested by the Lagos State Police Command after a livestream showed him driving recklessly along the Lekki–Epe Expressway before crashing his Mercedes-Benz. Authorities described the act as dangerous and a threat to other road users.

He was detained for about a week over allegations related to reckless driving and using a phone while driving, while the FRSC announced plans to prosecute him. Public reaction at the time was largely critical.

The differing reactions from both the public and authorities have sparked renewed debate on social media over perceived inconsistencies in law enforcement and claims of celebrity privilege.

Reactions to Peller’s video were mixed, with some supporting his call for action, including demands for the FRSC to seize Shank’s vehicle, while others dismissed his comments as an attempt to seek attention.

As of the time of filing this report, the Lagos State Police Command and the FRSC had yet to issue any statement on the matter.
