Man Utd’s flight gets cancelled ahead of match against Newcastle

Erik ten Hag’s plans for their Premier League clash against Newcastle United were thrown into disarray after their flight to Tyneside got cancelled.

Manchester United were scheduled for an 11 am UK time departure, their flight was canceled due to inclement weather, affecting their evening kickoff at St. James’ Park.

According to reports, the team had to embark on a three-hour drive to reach the venue in time for the 8 pm kickoff.

This less-than-ideal preparation comes as a setback for ten Hag, who is already without nearly seven key players for the crucial match at the lively stadium.

The Red Devils enter the game on the heels of a disappointing Champions League fixture against Galatasaray, squandering a 3-1 lead to end in a 3-3 draw.

Despite this setback, their performance in the Premier League has been commendable, securing victories in five of their last six matches and propelling them to sixth place in the league standings.

In contrast, Newcastle finds itself dealing with challenges as Eddie Howe grapples with the absence of at least eight first-team players, along with Sandro Tonali, who is serving a long-term suspension.

However, the Magpies have managed to secure favorable outcomes, defeating Chelsea the previous week and securing a draw against Paris Saint-Germain in France midweek. With just one point distinguishing the two teams, a victory for either side would propel them to fifth place, surpassing Spurs in the league standings.
