Rangers have reached an agreement on a pre-contract deal to acquire defender Clinton Nsiala from AC Milan.
The Ibrox club has announced that the 20-year-old French player will officially become a part of the team on 1 July, pending international clearance and a successful work permit application.
Nsiala, who began his career in the youth ranks of Nantes and Milan, has featured for Milan’s under-19s squad and has been included in the first-team matchday squads.
Director of recruitment Nils Koppen expressed the club’s enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating that Rangers are thrilled to welcome the talented young player, Clinton, to the squad.
And he added: “He joins as an exciting talent who we believe can develop and take his next steps under our manager, Philippe Clement, and his staff.”
Nsiala follows left-back Jefte in joining Rangers this summer, while winger Oscar Cortes is returning for a second loan from Lens and Mohamed Diomande’s loan from Nordsjælland has been formalised into a permanent move.
