The Paris Saint-Germain forward, Kylian Mbappé, is expected to wear the prestigious number 10 jersey if he joins Real Madrid in the upcoming 2024/25 season.

The 24-year-old French striker has been a target for Real Madrid for an extended period, and the club’s president, Florentino Perez, has long been an admirer of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Golden Ball recipient.

Mbappe’s contract with PSG is set to expire next summer, and the possibility of teaming up with the 2018 World Cup winner is a shared aspiration among various Real Madrid players.

In 2022, the 24-year-old was on the verge of signing with the 14-time Champions League champions, but he decided to extend his contract with PSG instead. However, his rapport with the club, particularly with president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, deteriorated over the summer.

Reports from Football Espana have fostered a growing belief at the Santiago Bernabeu that Mbappe will transfer from Paris Saint-Germain next summer, and this time, it may happen without any transfer fee.

According to journalist Paco Buyo, from El Chiringuito via Tribuna, adds to the growing speculation by stating that Mbappe is set to don the iconic number 10 jersey in the upcoming season.

Currently, the revered Luka Modric is wearing Real Madrid’s number 10 jersey, but according to numerous sources, the Croatian maestro is expected to say his goodbye to the club by the end of the season.

Although the number 9 jersey is available at the club, it’s worth noting that Mbappe has never worn this specific number in his career. Currently, he wears the number 10 for the French national team and the number 7 for Paris Saint-Germain.

Mbappe’s recent accomplishments include securing third place in the Ballon d’Or rankings last month, with only Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland ahead of him.

His potential move to Real Madrid has fans eagerly awaiting an electrifying new chapter in his illustrious career.
