‘I’m Nigerian from Oyo Kingdom’ – Ghanaian singer, Stonebwoy reveals

Ghanaian singer, Livingstone Etse Satekla, widely recognized as Stonebwoy, has shared that he has Nigerian roots.

Stonebwoy, a member of the Ewe tribe in Ghana, asserted that his ancestors hailed from the historic Oyo Kingdom in Nigeria.

Additionally, he stated that the Ewe people, his tribe, were the original inhabitants of Ilesha in Osun State.

These remarks were made during a recent conversation with the prominent influencer, Ola of Lagos.

Speaking in Pidgin, Stonebwoy said, “Me sef nah Naija, no lies. Me nah Ewe from Oyo Kingdom, my tribe migrated from Nigeria to Ghana here, na we get Illesha. Shout-out to my people in the southern part of Nigeria. Check Ewe, we root straight to Yoruba.”
