Sam Larry denies claim he asked Davido to apologise to Wizkid

The music promoter Balogun Eletu, often known as Sam Larry, has refuted reports that he given Davido a deadline of 24 hours to apologise to Wizkid.

Sam Larry allegedly requested Davido to apologise to Wizkid after their online confrontation earlier this week, according to an X user.

The user further stated that the music promoter threatened to take Davido to court if the “Assurance” hitmaker did not comply with his requests.

“Davido. Abi kini o pe. I give you 25 hours to apologise to Machala or I might have to step in,” the post allegedly attributed to Larry reads.

However, in a post via his Instagram story on Wednesday, the Lagos socialite reposted the said post while refuting the claims.

“This is fake story. Sam Larry never post such thing. Stop posting fake rumours about Sam Larry,” Larry wrote.

Davido and Wizkid got into a brawl on Monday night on X after the ‘Ojuelegba’ hitmaker made fun of him and Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy.

Wizkid mocked Davido by showing a video of him sobbing and appealing on his knees in response to a fan’s request for fresh music, calling Don Jazzy a “influencer.”

Notable people, among them celebrities, took issue with the singer’s postings on social media.

Davido responded by declaring Wizkid’s career to be “dead.”
